This mix was made exclusively for Boddhi Satva's (VEGA Records, Ancestral Recordings) radio show out of Belgium called "Frequencies of Offering". Its a weekly online show featuring some of the biggest names in deep Afro House music, such as Culoe De Song, Black Coffee, DJ Djeff, and Anane Vega. I am already a huge fan of Boddhi's and the South African House sound, so I was really surprised, and honored when Boddhi asked me to do a Moombahton show for him. I spent a lot of time on this and really wanted to make it special, not like any other Moombahton mix out there. I included lots of African and South American inspired tracks on here , as well as some Soulful ones too. I even made a few exclusive edits just for this mix. This mix is inspired by my 1st trip ever to Burning Man. Needless to say I was blown away on so many levels. I heard Djs like Lee Burridge, Art Department, Thugfucker, and Jamies Jones play beautiful, deep, dirty, and moving music, on impeccable sound systems, until the sun rose every morning. I danced my ass off, witnessed countless creative art installations, and met so many amazing people. I was honored to be able to Dj myself on incredible stages like Nexus, Roots Society, The Janky Barge, and PEX Village. This mix is a collection of songs that I played, a few songs that I heard and was able to later find (most notably "Lost In A Moment" which Lee ended his sunrise set with at Robot Heart), and more tracks which represent the BM experience for me. I'd like to give a big thanks to Shawna & Joro Boro, my fellow DJs in our "Cartel Mundial" Dj crew, for giving me the opportunity to play so many great gigs with them.
